The label Vox is the "Rolls Royce" of the amplifier business. In 1962, the manager of The Beatles, Brian Epstein, made an exclusive deal with the firm of Jennings Musical Industries (JMI). The deal was the group would only purchase Vox gear until the company could supply them with the equipment free of charge. This was how the old, used and torn up gear from the Hamburg days was replaced. Our vote was also for a classy, quality amplifier, which the VOX AC-30TBX definitely is.
It`s unique vintage sound and look, helps us to reproduce the British Invasion group`s backline authentically. To reach that, we had to modify some of the electronics: the output transformer, capacitors and tubes. The AC-30 has a 33 watt output. Mostly we use a "briliant-hi" input. Together with solid AlNiCo loudspeakers and Gretsch and Rickenbacker guitars` pickups, the sound is absolutely authentic.
